__________________________ NEWS: Jan. 17, 2010: A Cairo court has dropped a case filed against Haifa Wehbe after the Nubian Egyptian Lawyers Association withdrew their complaint. The Nubian Association accepted Haifa's apology and commended her removal of degrading lyrics from her song Baba Fen (Where's Daddy?). During the hearing on 22 December, Haifa's lawyer presented the court with a record of the new song lyrics that omit the phrase Nubian Monkey. The new copy of the song without the offensive lyrics has been distributed to all TV channels. _______________________ Jan 10, 2010: Haifa Wehbe visited the Cancer Hospital for Children in Egypt. Everyone who worked at the hospital was very eager to see her. The young patients at the hospital were also glad to see her. It was the childrens request for her visit after her newest children song. Haifa made their wish come true. She said that the sight of the children breaks her heart. Haifa donated a large sum of money for research. She went to different rooms that had little sick patients and joined them in drawing pictures and having small chats with them. She only attacked the violence by a minority of Algerians during the latest Egypt versus Algeria football match in Sudan." _________________________________ Nov. 20, 2009: Haifa visits hospital: Haifa Wehbe was spotted last Monday at a hospital in Beirut to visit a sick child there. The child appeared in a television show and said that his dream was to meet Haifa before going into surgery. Haifa responded to his request and went for a visit accompanied with gifts and toys. Haifa is currently getting ready to release her new video Inta Tani. ______________________________ October 17, 2009: Haifa performed in Agadir, Morocco at the "Concert of Tolerance" for peace and understanding. ______________________________ Haifa wins award for most popular singer in Lebanon: "Lebanese singer Haifa Wehbe was voted the most Popular Pop Star at the Murex d'or Awards ceremony for the third time. The award was chosen by an eminent jury as well as by fans in an online poll." ______________________________ August 2009: Haifa will observe Ramadan with her husband and her family in Lebanon. Wehbe shuns offers for concerts during Ramadan. Wehbe's daughter has been living with her father ever since her parents got a divorce ten years ago. Both daughter and father are currently living in Kuwait. Wehbe's lawyer states that his client is entitled to see her daughter every once in a while. Wehbe's ex-husband has denied her even this right due to the type of career that Haifa has. Haifa's daughter wears the Muslim head cover and is almost 17 years old. Hamas wasn't there. On January 15, 2009, Israel attacked the UN headquarters in Gaza, destroying a huge amount of humanitarian supplies meant for the desperate people of Gaza. ____
